I Can't Help you Take it Up with My Boss

I swear today was rag on Lexi day. I was dreading picking up the phone whenever it rang.

I'd say about 2 out of ever 3 calls people were complaining. >:( It was either about: us closing down for two weeks at christmas time, why their item aren't ready yet, the price of past items.

My answer to each of these (in order listed): "I have no authority about that decision. Bill* is the person that you need to talk to." Then they'd ask for them and I'd tell them that he is working nights and that just opened a whole new can of worms.

"We were having some technical difficulties with our air compressor. We have got it fixed now but we are about three days behind. If you leave your name and number I will let Mark* know that you called and he will call you back with an approx. day he thinks your items will be ready." More complaining and then they would either sigh really loudly and give their name and phone number or hang up on me. (Mostly giving name and number)

"I cannot do anything about the price about the item. You will have to have that conversation with Bill. Unfortunately, he is working night sift this week. (Started to say that after that was a repeat question.) But if you leave your name and number I will pass the message on." More grumbling before they would give me their name and number.

One person actually yelled at me for not knowing what was going on with his items! :O No matter I have gotten over it. :D

On to something happy! :D

Name that Carol

Congrats to Proctor_Fox_Fan (Ashleigh) and RottieGirl/no1thinker (Claudette) for knowing that

"I don't think Santa Claus will mind, do you?
He won't have to use our dirty chimney flue
Just bring him through the front door,
that's the easy thing to do"
(P.S. I scared myself when I pasted this, the music started just as I clicked to paste!)

was from the song "I want a Hippopotamus for Christmas"! :D

Today's song:

"It's a yum-yummy world made for sweethearts
Take a walk with your favorite girl
It's a sugar date, what if spring is late
"

No hint this time but if you need one you can pm me over at tv.com.

Joke of the Day

A lady dropped her handbag in the bustle of holiday shopping. An honest, little boy noticed her drop the handbag, so he picked it up and returned it to her.The lady looked into her handbag and commented, "Hmm.... That's funny.

When I lost my bag there was a $20 bill in it. Now there are twenty $1bills." The boy quickly replied, "That's right, lady. The last time I found a purse, the owner didn't have any change for a reward."

Name that Christmas Carol

From now until Christmas I will give you line from a Christmas carol (traditional and modern) you tell me what the carol is and the next line (optional). (Close is good. If you need a hint just PM me over at tv.com) Good luck!

Nothing really to report today.

It hasn't snowed all day! That is a good sign and I'm a little happier today! :D Hopefully, the snow will stay away for a few more days! :)

You can leave your answer in you comment or pm me over at tv.com! :D

"I don't think Santa Claus will mind, do you?

I'll give a hint for the first one: This song was sung by Gayla Peevey and was written by John Rox
. Good luck!

Joke of the Day

In a small southern town there was a "Nativity Scene" that showed great skill and talent had gone into creating it. One small feature bothered a man passing through the town. The three wise men were wearing firemen's helmets.

Totally unable to come up with a reason or explanation, the man left. At a "Mini Mart" on the edge of town, he asked the lady behind the counter about the helmets. She exploded into a rage, yelling at the man, "You stupid Yankees never do read the Bible!" He assured her that he did, but simply couldn't recall anything about firemen in the Bible.

She jerked her Bible from behind the counter and ruffled through some pages, and finally jabbed her finger at a passage. Sticking it in my face she said "See, it says right here, the three wise man came from afar."

Snow makes the Christmas

This year Christmas day is going to look the part with all the snow we are getting here in Alberta. When I left work this afternoon it was almost a white out! Plus being dark out wasn't help the conditions any.
I haven't had time to make one of these yet. Plus I don't think the snow just right to make one of them.

Anyways I don't really like the snow. I only like it on Christmas morning when I first wake up. Its a fresh feeling. Makes the day seem so much brighter and cheerier! :D

Enough about the snow!

Joke of the Day:
Top 10 Ways To Confuse Santa Claus on Christmas

10. Instead of milk and cookies leave Santa a Weight Watchers bar and a note explaining that you think he could stand to lose a few pounds!

9. While Santa’s in the house... go find his sleigh and write him a speeding ticket!

8. While Santa’s in the house... replace all his reindeer with exact replicas. Then wait and see what happens when he tries to fly!

7. Keep a bull in your living room. If you think a bull goes crazy when he sees a little red cape, wait until he sees Santa in his suit!!

6. Leave a note by the telephone telling Santa that Mrs. Claus called and wants to remind him to pick up a loaf of bread on his way home.

5. Take everything out of your house as if it has just been robbed. When Santa arrives, show up dressed like a policeman and say, "Well, well, well… They always return to the scene of the crime"

4. Leave out a copy of your Christmas list with last-minute corrections.

3. Leave out a Santa suit with a dry-cleaning bill.

2. Instead of Christmas ornaments decorate your tree with pumpkins!

1. Dress up like the Easter Bunny. Wait for Santa Claus to come and then say, "This neighborhood ain't big enough for the both of us buddy!!"

My Arch Enemy has Returned Once Again

They say "Keep your friends close but your enemies closer!" but I think this is just ridiculous!

I was sitting at my desk today and was going to take a drink of water when the door to the shop and one of our customer scared me.

Normally, I would be okay but this time instead of taking the drink of water I missed my mouth by a mile and spilled water all over the front of my shirt and some on my pants! :o

All is good, my cloths dried before I had to go outside into the snow. :(

That is another thing, we had snow here. :( I'm not exactly happy about it. I've tried many times to pretend that winter would just be skipped this year. Unfortunately, I'm not that good at pretending. :(

Bathroom Renos:

I figured I would update you on the progress for the renos on my bathroom.

Well, it has sort of...

I don't remember if I mentioned that I changed the colour scheme. I changed it to brown and dark green. The green is the accent wall where I'm going to hang three pictures that have those colours in them. When I am done (hopefully soon) I will post some pictures.

Joke of the Day:

A women walked into the kitchen to find her husband stalking around with a fly swatter.
"What are you doing?" She asked.
"Hunting flies" He responded.
"Oh! Killing any?" She asked.
"Yep. 3 males and 2 females." He replied.
Intrigued, she asked, "How can you tell them apart?"
He responded, "3 were on a beer can and 2 were on the phone."

Pain in the Neck

And I mean literally.

I went out to the cabin with my dad yesterday and when we stopped by a friends lot I fell out out of the truck. Well, I slipped since there was a patch of ice. I pulled some neck muscles and my right shoulder is all bruised. :(

On the bright side, before I went out to the cabin I got a new cell phone. Better service out at the lake.

Unfortunately, I didn't get any scrapbooking done. But I hope to get a page done before I go to bed.

Scrapbooking Frenzy

Wow!
Today me and my mom went shopping and I bought a whole but of scrapbooking letters!
You can never get enough letters, especially when working on as big as a scrapbook as I am.

I bought 13 packages of letters today. I couldn't believe I bought that many! :o

Plus I didn't my final christmas shopping.

Luckily for my dad (unfortunately for me) I didn't buy the cutest purse that I saw today while shopping.
It would have made a good purse for the office Christmas party. It was red with some green piping. It was gorgeous.
Joke of the Day:
Actually, instead of the joke of the day I am going to put a House quote on!
House: "Every minute that we refuse to love one another, another puppy cries another tear."
Wilson: "You're just mad that he's closer to a Nobel Prize than you are."
House: "And yet I've nailed more Swedish babes. Crazy, crazy world."

Quotable House!

I thought today I would post some House quotes!

1. Dr. House: [walks in] Good morning. [looks at coffee mug, laughs] Hah, this is funny, people don't...
Dr. Cameron: Not done reading, go away.
Dr. House: [House leaves]
Dr. Cameron: Most likely, she coughed it up, which would mean it's from her lungs. Drugs, toxins, infections?
Dr.Foreman: No fever, no elevated white count, which rules out infections...
Dr. Cameron: And, blood panels found no drugs, or toxins.
Dr. Chase: Loncoscopy was pristine... so much for the lungs...
Dr. House: [walks back in] Good morning!
Dr. Chase: Not yet! [House leaves again]
Dr. Cameron: So then the blood came from her stomach, which would mean it's an ulcer or a GI bleed.
Dr. Foreman: The ER also ran an upper and lower GI, no blood.
Dr. Chase: Which means no ulcer or GI bleed, which means it's not from the stomach either, which means... the blood didn't come from anywhere? [Everyone looks confused]
Dr. House: [Pops head in] Did you guys get to the point that the blood doesn't come from anywhere?

2. Dr. Cuddy: You lied to them!
Mrs. Park: He told us our son was dead.
House: It's only a white lie. Technically, all I did was call them a little early. Trust me, he'll be dead real soon.

3. Chase: "It doesn't necessarily have to be that bad. If we exclude the night terrors it could be something systemic: his liver, kidneys, something outside the brain."
House: "Yes, feel free to exclude any symptom if it makes your job easier."

4. Wilson: "Billionaires buy movie studios to get laid. They buy hospitals to get respect."
House: "And the reason you want respect...?"
Wilson: "To...get laid."
